MG Motors India will launch its new electric Crossover Utility Vehicles as the name of the cloud EV under the price of 20 lakh ex-showroom. It is connected with a 50.3-kilowatt battery and offers an advanced design with an LED headlight and sunroof. This model gives an affordable price to the customer with similar offerings from Tata and Mahindra.
Tata Motor India is expanding their electric vehicle section. So, they want to add their new upcoming Crossover Utility Vehicles (CUB) to the name Cloud EV. It was sold in the international market before. The Cloud EV is the third electric vehicle from MG after the ZS EV and Comet EV. MG Motor has revealed their upcoming electric vehicles’ key highlighted specifications in their official channel.
Design
The new CUV from MG is undergoing testing in electric vehicles in India. The spy photo provides a glimpse of models. In terms of design, the release teaser video shows its dynamic alloy wheel design with a sleek LED DRL and a luxury LED light bar. It has an illuminated MG logo on the front. The additional features include a sunroof and a two-spoke steering wheel.
Performance: Battery and Range
The model is expected to connect with a 50.3-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack similar to the MG ZS EV. It is powered by 176 HP and 280 Nanometer torque. It is a font exile mounted electric motor. Due to its lightweight ,the cloud EV offers a long range that is 461 km on a single charge. But the possibility is a global specification variant of this model with a 134 HP 200 nanometre torque and a 37.9 kilowatt battery that gives 360 km range on a single charge. It may be low cost or affordable electric vehicles to users.
Price and Competition
By announcing their upcoming electric car Cloud EV, they want to appeal to the younger generation of people to buy this car. It is expected that the cost of Cloud EV is Rs 20 lakh ex-showroom in the Indian market. Under this price section, it may compete with TATA Curve EV and XUV400.
