India largest two wheeler manufacturing company is rapidly shifting their two wheelers into electric. Recently, Royal Enfield showcased their upcoming electric two wheelers ADV concept at EICMA two wheeler show in Milan, Italy.
While this concept is a glimpse of what lies ahead for Royal Enfield’s electric future. It is a co-developed product. Last year a Spanish company acquired a stake.
The company stated that the new upcoming Royal Enfield electric bike comes with both Royal Enfield’s and Stark Motorcycle’s platforms which are under development. The company also confirmed that the new bike is made by the Stake VARG platform.
Royal Enfield has invested Rs 1,500 Crore to develop its EV business in India. They hired ex-Ducati Veteran Mario Alvisi as a chief growth officer for its EV business. Royal Enfield already acquired their land in Cheyyar for an electric two wheeler facility.
