In a global first, Amazon on Tuesday launched their program to shift into electric vehicles for last mile delivery. That will help more than 300 delivery service partners to make customer deliveries with carbon emissions.
Amazon already is working effectively in America and Europe. Amazon was launched first in India with entirely custom designed EVs in India. It is very safe and carbon free for delivery providers.
The carbon emissions free goal is the Amazon goal to reach by 2040.
” We are committed to be net zero carbon by 2040, and decarbonising our delivery network is an important part of getting us to that goal”, said Abhinav Singh, VP of operations, Amazon India.

Singh added,” By launching the last mile fleet programme with an all electric fleet in India, we help our delivery service partners decarbonise with us – and we are delighted that India is the first country where we are able to do this.”
Features a spacious 170 cubic feet delivery boy and a 400 kg payload capacity, it can be handle daily shipments with ease.
