India’s largest automaker company Bajaj has launched its new Bajaj RE electric auto in the Indian market with 178 km range.
After 5 years of waiting Bajaj launched this long range electric auto Bajaj RE. It is a complete automatic electric auto. It doesn’t require any gears to operate. All you need is just an accelerator. It is a 3+1 passenger electric auto that comes with a high strength metal body chassis.
Specifications
Coming to the specifications of Bajaj RE electric Auto on a full charge you will get 178 km of mileage which is certified. Whereas the real mileage is around 130 to 150 km depends on the load. The top speed of this electric auto is 45 km/h. It has two modes Eco and power mode. In Eco mode, top speed is 40 km/h whereas the power mode top speed is 45 km/h. The auto works with a 4.5 KW PMSM motor that produces 36 Nm of torque. The motor gets power from a 8.9 KW LFP battery pack.
The power consumption is 9 units for a full
charge which means for 1km travel just 30 paisa. You will get a 16 amps charger. The charging time of the battery is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Suspension wise front single shock absorber with spring rare helical spring suspension. The tire size is 120 x 80 tubeless. The load capacity of this Auto is up to 400 kgs. The auto gets Hill hold assist feature during an incline Road. The auto won’t move backwards.

Coming to warranty, it offers 36 months or 80,000 km warranty.
Price
Central government is offering 89,000 rupees subsidy on electric rickshaws. The showroom price of Bajaj RE electric auto after subsidy is 3 lakh 6,550 rupees.
