Powertrain Options

Under the hood, the Nexon facelift offers two powertrain choices. The 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine comes with four transmission options: a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed AMT (Automated Manual Transmission), and a newly introduced 7-speed dual-clutch automatic with paddle shifters. This engine generates a robust 120 hp and 170 Nm of peak torque. For diesel enthusiasts, the 1.5-liter diesel engine produces 115 hp and 260 Nm of torque, available with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed AMT.

The Tata Nexon EV is available in two variants: Medium Range (MR) and Long Range (LR). The MR version delivers 129 hp and 215 Nm of torque, while the LR variant boasts an impressive 145 hp and 215 Nm of torque. Tata claims that the Nexon EV facelift LR variant can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 8.9 seconds and reach an electronically limited top speed of 150 kmph. Both variants offer three driving modes: Eco, City, and Sport.

In terms of range, the Nexon EV MR is powered by a 30 kWh battery, providing an ARAI-certified range of 325 km. Meanwhile, the Nexon EV LR utilizes a larger 40.5 kWh battery, extending the ARAI-certified range to an impressive 465 km.

Pricing and Availability

The 2023 Tata Nexon starts at an enticing price of Rs 8.10 lakh (ex-showroom), making it a competitive choice in its segment. The Nexon EV facelift begins at Rs 14.74 lakh (ex-showroom). Tata Motors commenced bookings for these models on September 4, 2023, with a token amount of Rs 21,000, further boosting the anticipation among prospective buyers.
