Bengaluru based startup company Simple Energy has launched new trademarks as the name of ‘Dot One’ and ‘Simple Dot One’ for a new electric scooter. On the base on news source, the new Simple Scooter will come different varients. This electric scooter will come under affordable segment. It may compete with Ather 450s, Ola S1 Air and TVs IQube in the segment.
The Simple Dot One is expected to arrive on October with the range of 180 km on a single charge. The new version will come limited features and small battery pack that makes cost effective.
Right now, The Simple One electric scooter is available at Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom, after FAME-ll subsidy). But the Dot One electric scooter is expected to launch Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom).
The new affordable Simple Dot One electric scooter is equipped with 8.5 kW (11.3 bhp) electric motor with a continuous power output of 4.5 kW (6 bhp) and a peak torque of 72 Nm. The acceleration of this scooter is 0 to 40 kmph in just 2.77 seconds and top speed is 105 kmph.
The Simple One electric scooter comes with 212 km range that powered by 5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. But the new Dot electric scooter offers a short range scooter. Recently, the company has unveiled its mega manufacturing plant in Tamil Nadu which capacity over 1 lakh units in one year.
