Ola unveiled 5 electric scooter and electric bikes-Ola S1 Pro 2, Ola S1X with more range and more features
On the eve of Independence Day, Ola electric conducted a customers Day event.
They unveiled so many products on 15th August.
Let’s know the highlights of the event and at the end Ola introduced their upcoming electric bikes.
Ola introduced their affordable scooters which they made till now are based on gen 1 platform.
They address some of the issues faced in general platform and the finally launched Gen 2 platform in this Gen 2 platform. They redesigned their motor and increased their power from 8.5 kilowatt to 11 kilowatt.
They worked on redesigning their battery electrical components and frame to reduce cost and to improve performance and design.
The outcome of this Gen 2 platform is you will get a flat footboard and a long grab rail in upcoming all Ola electric scooters. Ola launched three new electric scooters on independence day.
Now let’s talk about those five electric scooters one by one. The first electric scooter is the Ola S1 Pro. Ola made some changes to this Ola S1 Pro and relaunched it today. Now the new Ola S1 Pro electric scooter will get a flat footboard, a long grab rail and telescopic suspension at front and dual shock absor.
The IDC range increased from 181 kilometers to 195 kilometers. The top speed went from 116 kilometers per hour to 120 kilometers per hour. Ola S1 Pro electric scooter used to do 0 to 40 in 2.9 seconds. But now Ola is on Pro and can go 0 to 40 in just 2.6 seconds. As they updated everything. They updated the price also previously.
The Ola Pro electric scooter used to offer an extreme cost of 1.4 lakh rupees but this updated Ola S1 Pro electric scooter is priced at 1.48 lakh rupees.
Extra room the deliveries of this new Ola S1 Pro is going to begin from mid-september.

New Ola S1 Air
The second electric scooter is Ola S1 air. There are no changes made to this Ola S1 air. It comes with a three kilowatts of fixed battery pack, 151 kilometers IDC range and 90 kilometer per hour top speed. The acceleration is 0 to 40 kmph in 3.3 seconds as per Ola.
They received more than 50,000 bookings for this Ola S1 Air. The cost of this Ola S1 air is 1.1 lakh rupees.
Ola S1X Variant Electric scooter
The three new electric scooters which Ola unveiled on 15th August. The unveiled Ola S1X series. There are a total of three variants in this Ola S1X series.
They are Ola S1X plus, Ola S1X and Ola S1X2.
Ola S1X
Ola S1X comes with a 3 kilowatt hour battery pack and 151 kilometers IDC range. It offers a top speed of 90 kilometers per hour.
The scooters can attain 0 to 40 kmph speed in just 3.3 seconds same as Ola S1 Air the main difference between the Ola S1 Air and Ola S1X series lies in the design build quality and pricing.
Ola S1X Plus
The main difference between the Ola S1X Plus and Ola S1X lies in the connectivity features.
When it comes to pricing, Ola S1X Plus is priced at an extra room cost of 1.1 lakh rupees. But in the early days, those who book these electric scooters this week, they’ll get a 10,000 rupees discount. That means this Ola S1X plus electric scooters is now available.
This launch at an extra cost of 1 lakh rupees. But you will get 10,000 rupees off if you book this electric scooter this week.
Ola S1X2
When it comes to the third variant, the Ola S1X2. This is priced at an extra room cost of 90 000 rupees. But as I already said you will get a 10,000 rupees discount if you book this electric scooter this week. That means the Ola S1X2 cost is 80,000 rupees.
Next Ola announced that they are going to open 100 plus new service centers from today.
Move OS 4.0 Updates
After that Ola introduced their Move OS 4.0. You will get new features like Ola Maps, improved regenerative braking, new concept mode here, descent control etc.
The beta version of this Move OS 4.0 will be available from next month and the stable version will be rolled out in the next two months before ending the event.
Ola Electric Bike
Ola introduced their upcoming electric bikes. A total of four electric bikes are going to come from Ola.
They will be in Cruiser adventure sports and Roadster segments. The design and the body language of these electric bikes are mind blowing. Ola did not reveal the exact specifications and pricing of this upcoming electric bike.
But these electric bikes are going to launch by end of 2024 so we need to wait till the end of 2024 to experience this Ola electric bikes. But these are going to be premium electric bikes for sure.
