Electric two wheelers sales increase 11% in July- Ola, Ather, and TVs and more

It’s been two months since central government has revised Fame-2 subsidy in May month.  We saw a very good sales of one like five thousand units when Central has not revised the fame-2 subsidy. But after Fame-2 subsidy has been revised in June month. The sales dropped to 45,734 units June month. We saw a 56% decline in month on month sales.

 So it’s time to see the July month EV two wheeler sales report. Let’s see the top 10 performers in July month regarding electric two-wheelers sales. 

In this July month,we  saw 11.5 percent growth compared to June. A total of 51,299 units were sold this July.  In July 2022 46,607 units were sold.So this July 2023 saw 10 percent increase in year-on-year sales.  A total of 148 electric two-wheelers are present in India. 

 Top 7 companies occupied 85 percent of the total sales in July 2023.  So now let’s look at the top 10 performers of July 2023. 

10. BGAUSS Scooter

In 10th position we have BGUASS Auto.  in June BGauss sold 190 units whereas in July they sold 613 units.  BGauss saw month-on-month growth of 222 percent. 

9. Okaya Scooter

In ninth position, we have Okaya EV. In June month 425 units were sold and in July Okaya sold 721 units.  The month on month growth is 69%.

8. Hero Electric scooter

 In eighth position we have Hero Electric . Hero electrics sold 1136 units in June as well as 759 units in July.  They saw a month-on-month growth of -33 percent Gradually the Hero electric sales are decreasing month by month.

7. Hero MotoCorp

In seventh position, we have Hero Motocorp.  I think this is the first time Hero motocorp has entered in the top 10 positions List. 

In June Hero sold 465 units whereas in July they saw 951 units.  The month on month growth is  not four percent.

6. Ampere Scooter

 In sixth position we have Ampere Primus. Recently Ampere has separated Grill from it. So, now Ampere and Grills are separately operated companies.  So now I am considering the sales of both these companies together. 

In June they sold 3042 units whereas in  July they sold 3386 units.  The month on month growth is 15%. 

5. Okinawa Scooter

Now when it comes to top 5 positions. I have Okinawa Auto Tech.  Okinawa sold 2000 and 619 units in June whereas they sold 2138 units in July. The month on month growth is -18%.

4.Bajaj E-scooter

 In fourth position we have Bajaj Auto Bajaj. Recently re-pumped up their production capacity.  They sold 3,002 units in June whereas in July they saw 30912 units. The month on month growth is 30%.

 3. Ather Energy

In third position we have Ather Energy.  Ather sold 4596 units in June whereas they sold 6198 units in July.  The Month on month growth is 34% in August.

They are going to unveil their upcoming electric scooter Ather 450s.

2. TVs IQube Scooter

 In second position, we have TVS Motors. TVs sold 7856 unit in June whereas they sold 9599 units in July the month on month growth is 22% previous.  

Recently achieved their 1.5 lakh units mark. This TVs electric scooters were launched in January 2020. So they took three years to complete 1.5 lakh unit.  

1.Ola Electric scooter

In the first position, obviously we have Ola Ola sold 17622 units in June whereas they sold 18,000 units in July. The month on month growth is +4%. 

Ola has occupied 36 percent of the market share in July 2023. In this August month they are going to start the deliveries of their Ola S1 air electric scooters. So from the next month the sales are going to double for Ola Electric.
