Why are electric vehicles the future in India?

Recently the International Energy Agency published a report that there is an increase of 0.9% or 321 million tonnes. But, after using clean energy technology, we reduced 550 million tonnes of carbon from the environment. Clean technology means solar energy,wind energy, hydrogen energy and more. These substantial energy solutions may give a carbon free environment in our future.  

Right now electric vehicles are rapidly growing across the world day by day. India is the third largest road network in the world with 326.5 million vehicles in the fiscal year 2022. In India people are slowly slowly engaging towards electric vehicles that will help to reduce the carbon as well as greener planet Earth!

Why  are electric vehicles the future in India?

India is one of the most polluted countries in the world where 4 to 5 cities are over polluted. As a result, we suffer various diseases like hypertension, high blood pressure, asthma, migraines, gastritis, colitis and even heart attacks. For this reason, more than 1 million people’s lives were killed by pollution. About 25% of the total population comes from vehicles.

The Government of India is rapidly working on electric vehicles so that people take EVs instead of ICE engines. Central govt and state govt are giving subsidies on electric vehicles so that people buy electric vehicles more and more. The Indian Government launched the Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles (FAME) scheme and further extended it until 2024 with the aim of promoting the manufacturing and adoption of Electric vehicles in the country.

India is an emerging superpower in the world. The country has a strong commitment to reducing carbon emissions to zero by 2070. So, electric vehicles will play a huge role in reducing carbon emissions.
