Ola are testing ADAS technology to avoid accident from human error and brings advance features like Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure, Traffic signal detection, Automatic emergency brake, Blind spot detection
What is ADAS tech?
ADAS is an Advanced Driver Assistance System. This feature protects a driver from accidents. This system automatically gives information to give vehicles.
ADAS technology is very essential for some applications:
- Pedestrian Detection
- Lane Departure
- Traffic signal detection
- Automatic emergency brake
- Blind spot detection
All the applications are key to ADAS success. It’s run by multiple systems and all the systems are connected with a system on different chips. This chip is connected with a sensor. The sensors give information to applications for work.

Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal has shared a video on Twitter that Ola is testing ADAS technology on the Ola S1 Pro electric scooter.

ADAS is very useful for safety. In India, ADAS is very useful for any two wheeler. Lots of people in India are suffering and dying by bike or scooter accident. This Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) saves our life from human error.
To test this advanced technology, Ola has set up a camera on the front and makeshift screen mounted on S1 Pro. On this screen, the camera is the road.
To add this technology, the company wants to make this scooter more for the driver. Aggarwal said, this testing is only for demo. But it is not clear when it will come with the Ola scooter.
After this technology, Ola will be the first electric scooter which uses ADAS technology. In India, some electric four wheelers are available with ADAS technology. But there are electric two wheelers.
The introduction of ADAS technology could bring more features like Adaptive Cruise control, traffic signal detection, Collision avoidance and more on the new Ola scooter.
