Haryana is one of the developing states in India. Around 26,387 new electric vehicles were registered across the state in 2022-23. But this number is doubled , 11,843 against 2021-22. This number shows the electric vehicle sales are rapidly growing year by year.
Among these all registered EVs are two and three-wheelers including electric scooters and e-rickshaws.
There are a few electric cars registered. It was 0.7% of total EVs registered in 2021-22 to 2.5% in 2022-23. Where electric two wheelers share is over 41% and three wheelers share is over 54% in this financial year.
In Haryana, there are 11,843 EVs register in 2021-22. At that time, the electric two wheelers share was at 49% and e-rickshaws at 44.2%, three wheelers at 5.8%, personal four wheelers at 0.7% and commercial four wheelers at 0.3%.
The expert says that after the state EV policy electric vehicles in Haryana are rapidly increasing.
The EV policy offered the first 2,400 buyers of EVS and hybrid cars a discount at 15% for vehicles costing up to Rs 10 lakh.
Buyers also get benefit on road tax and registration free.
