Electric vehicles adaptation is globally increasing year by year. This EVs adaptation is not only in one country but also globally. As per report, the electric vehicles sold 60% more electric passenger vehicles, total 10.6 million, will be sold globally in 2022, BNEF’s 2022 Zero Emissions Vehicles Factbook published at COP27 said.
Globally, many countries like India,Us, China are working towards zero emission carbon by 2070. As a result, Old and ICE engine sales are decreasing slowly day by day.
And also, the government is giving different subsidies for EVs in different countries. Globally, 13% of electric vehicles were sold in 2022 which was an increase of 4.3% compared to last year.
For increasing EVs sales, there are also increasing lithium-ion battery cells which is 38%, Since 2021. The cumulative spending on clean road transport worldwide is set to exceed $450 billion this year.
The electric vehicle sales have resulted in significantly reduced oil consumption and carbon dioxide emissions globally. It is expected that nearly 1.7 million oil consumption will be cut down per day which is 1.5 million barrels per day in 2021.
Eventually, the 10.6 million EVs reduced 152 million metric tons of CO2 annually. Where the biggest contribution is coming from electric two and three wheelers in Asia.

” The BNEF Factbook report clearly shows that due to the global energy crisis, the zero carbon emission e-vehicles are rapidly increasing, which is good for the environment. It will also end the dependence on oil completely.”- said COP26 president Alok Sharma.
