Japanese automaker company Suzuki is going to launch its new Suzuki electric scooter in India by 2024, it may be Burgman electric scooter for city riders like to school, college, office and others
We are pretty sure that the future is our electric vehicles. Most of the country is using electric vehicles instead of fuel powered engines. Other reasons are people are attracted towards electric vehicles because of climate change and fuel price hike. So, European countries are committed that they will use all electric vehicles instead of fuel powered engines by 2035. Also India has committed to reduce 70 percent carbon emissions by 2070.
For this, most of the automotive industry are shifting their ICE engine vehicles to electric vehicles. They are developing new EV technology day by day. Suzuki is slow and late but not far away from the electric two wheelers segment. They are planning to launch eight new two wheelers by 2030. The Burgman electric scooter will be the first batch electric scooter in the FY2024.
Among these all electric two wheelers, 25 percent electric two wheelers will be battery based and remaining will come with different features.
Suzuki is already working on a 125cc scooter which is similar to an electric scooter. This electric scooter will be mid range and the best option for city commuters like those who go to school, office and others. This new Suzuki electric scooter will be available in India by 2024.
Already there are lots of homegrown electric two industries competing with each other. On the other hand, the electric vehicles market is growing rapidly in India where electric two wheelers market share is about 70 percent. After, Suzuki electric scooter launch, this competition will be more interesting in future.
