Hero motors company(HMC), unveiled their ” Hero Lectro Aiming to New Sales Strategy for Its Cargo E-bike Hero Lectro WINN with Features & Specifications” e-cargo vehicles that are set to make a revolutionary EV bicycle market in India.
Hero motors has set up a new sales strategy for E-cargo vehicles across 10 cities initially. In the future, they want to set up 80 multi-brand cities.
Hero Lectro recently launched the first purpose built cargo vehicle Hero Lectro WINN. It is an E-cycle designed specially to deliver all over India through an E-commerce site. This kind of E-cycle to hit the Indian market will soon be supplementary by a three-wheeler.
Hero Lectro is trying to establish their new sales channel across India. They don’t give them more attention on their Hero cycles or Hero Lectro’s sales network. They are working for an entirely different target consumer than bicycles or conventional e-cycles, said a company statement.
Lectro’s cargo e-vehicles are the majority trying to attract self employed workers in the last mile delivery service as these purpose-built vehicles. They have a huge potential of improving learning and optimising costs of them as compared to currently used motorised two wheelers.
“Our main target clientele for Hero Lectro WINN and E-cargo vehicles in the consumer who currently buys motorized two wheelers because over 90 percent of e commerce deliveries are happening on motorcycle or scooter , with Hero Lectro WINN , we are presenting before the customers an economically and ergonomically more viable alternative for last mile delivery,” said by Partha Choudhary, President and CEO of Hero Lectro.
” This is why we are rolling out a distribution shared points or multi brand retail points that their age old habit,” Choudhary said
This is the first piloting strategy of Hero Lectro’s across Delhi NCR . Thereafter , the strategy will be implemented across multiple cities in India . Also they will increase more dealers across the country to enable more visibility of Hero Lectro’s cargo E-bikes as soon as possible.
“By the end of this financial year, our main objective is to open our cargo E-bikes visibility at upto multi brand outlets across 10 cities in India where our target consumer currently visits to buy alternative vehicles. We have set up a density of one outlet every 7-8 kms. After rolling it out in Delhi NCR, this model will then be applied across 9 other cities namely Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata,Pune, Visakhapatnam, Lucknow and Agra,” added Mr Choudhary.
